Crown Street Militia

Crown Street Militia are a Death / Doom metal band from Wollongong, Australia. Formed in late 2022 by long time friends Angus Black, Anthony Sweeney, Darcy Wall & Taylor George, the band set out with a singular goal; to create the heaviest metal possible. 

CSM released their demo EP ‘Propaganda’ in 2024, earning them slots on Triple J’s “The Racket” and sharing stage with Pig Destroyer (USA), Gatecreeper (USA), Wormrot (SGP), Kruelty (JPN), Volatile Ways & more. 

Their upcoming sophomore EP ‘Heavy Metal II’ sees the band increase the intensity tenfold. Taking influence from old-school death metal & 80s heavy metal, Crown Street Militia have forged their own unique, brutal sound defined by crushing riffs and an uncompromising dedication to total sonic violence.
